Elena Su

2020 Whipple Writing Fellow

Elena Su '21 is a student at Brookline High School. For seventeen years, she has been an avid admirer of numbers, music, and peanut butter cups. When she’s not busy eating chocolate or frantically trying to finish up her homework, you can catch her practicing the piano, running a tutoring program, or soaking up the sun. She also cultivates a classic rock playlist that is almost 58 hours long. Elena has loved writing ever since second grade, when she was the proud author of a charming tale about a girl who brought her pet tiger into school in her backpack. When reading, she always finds herself gravitating towards mystery novels and classics. She is honored to be a Whipple Fellow, and she hopes to use this precious opportunity to explore new genres and to form lasting friendships. Her goal is to write words that won’t end up deleted.
