Haley Kim
2024 Whipple Writing Fellow
Haley Kim ‘25, is a competitive rhythmic gymnast of ten years, and extends her love of the sport by teaching gymnastics classes for kids as young as the age of two. Intrigued by teeth, Haley decided in eighth grade that she wanted to study dentistry, and started a Pre-Dentistry club once she reached high school. She first discovered she might really like to write in middle school, where she found her mind lost between lines of even the dullest of texts, analyzing novels and historical events. Her teachers definitely gave her a lot of confidence in her writing, and she owes a lot of her writing knowledge to her SWS teachers and her borderline obsessive enjoyment of reading. She is super thrilled to have received the opportunity to explore her passion for dental health outreach with the generous support and guidance provided through the Whipple Fellowship.
