Marie Di Fabbrizio

2024 Whipple Writing Fellow

The first experience that Maria Elisa Di Fabbrizio ‘25 had with writing was the arcane tale of the Tooth Fairy she wrote when she was five, in which a little girl’s dream (guess whose) of meeting the tooth fairy came to fruition. After that point, her taste in literature took a sharp turn and she was raised on the macabre tales of A Series of Unfortunate Events. Since then, she has learned to balance playful and humorous childish elements with the formality and logophilic aspects of Lemony Snicket. Outside of school hours, Marie enjoys fencing with the BHS Saber team. You can catch her with her LUMIX camera in hand, polishing her photography portfolio. She enjoys volunteering at the Brookline Food Pantry in the summers, the BHS Library whenever she can, and tutoring middle schoolers throughout the year.
