Ryan Xia '21 loves music, history, trivia, traveling, and, of course, writing. When people ask where he’s from, Ryan tells them about Brookline. When they ask again, he reveals that he once lived in Tennessee. When they insist, he admits that he was born in Washington. When they finally concede, he begins explaining the intricacies of Sino-American relations. Ryan’s interest in writing began in middle school with a 200-page long trash fire. Ever since, he has spent his free time writing arbitrary passages, reading his favorite books (including Hitchhiker’s Guide, The Book Thief, and the Lord of the Rings Series), playing the piano, and bingeing Youtube.
